About Repair Incorporated
Hi, I'm Richard Di Lauro. I started Repair Incorporated in 2001. After 18 years of long hours as a Pizza Maker/ Restaurant manager (peppered with a few other job titles here and there), I decided to follow my ambition to be an entrepreneur and my passion for fixing things.
As a teenager my father was buying, fixing & reselling residential and commercial buildings in Brooklyn, NY. After school I would work with different tradesmen and learn the "how to" of various trades. I am also self-taught from reading "how to" books and a few correspondence courses in locksmithing and an electricians course.
Taking pride in whatever I do, I always strive to do the job right the first time. That's why I guarantee my work. Let's face it, When you're paying to have something fixed, It should be fixed right. I've been called to jobs I estimated higher than someone else (who got the job) and I had to re-do their work because it was done so poorly.
I tend to think outside the box, which is useful when you encounter a problem. I can usually find another solution to a problem. Having skills (tricks of the trade) from various trades, gives you insight which may be helpful when confronted with a problem.
